Planned Parenthood of New Mexico agrees to accept money from a Live Action member posing as a racist donor who wants to target African-Americans for abortions because he thinks “there are way too many blacks in America”. African American women account for only 12% of the female population but submit to over 36% of abortions. 1400 African American babies are lost to abortion each day. This is no accident: Planned Parenthood targets minorities, concentrating their clinics in minority neighborhoods. Their founder, Margaret Sanger, designed the organization to use sterilization and abortion to control minority populations. The video, released by youth-led pro-life group Live Action, records Planned Parenthood staff distorting basic facts of fetal development and pressuring a woman to have an abortion. In the video, a staffer tells a woman who is reportedly 6 to 8 weeks pregnant that at this stage her baby has “no arms, no legs, no heart no head, no brain.” The staffer emphasizes the difficulties of adoption, urges the woman to obtain an abortion as soon as possible, says that images of abortion are fabricated, and states that the unborn child at 6 to 8 weeks has no “identifiable parts” and is just “fetal matter.” A similar video released in December from an Appleton, WI abortion clinic prompted state senator Glenn Grothman to call for an investigation of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin. Two leading embryologists also denounced Planned Parenthood’s counseling, calling it “absurd and scientifically erroneous.” Live Action also released a video last February catching Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin failing to comply with mandatory reporting laws for the sexual abuse of a 14 year old girl. Wisconsin law requires women to receive medically accurate information before obtaining an abortion. How Does Planned Parenthood Celebrate Black History Month? The following statement appears on Planned Parenthood’s website: “In observance of Black History Month, Planned Parenthood is celebrating the leadership of African Americans who led the fight for reproductive freedom.” This is all very touching — that Planned Parenthood would take time from their busy schedule of killing black babies in their Abortion Clinics — to proclaim their appreciation for the African-American community. The Planned Parenthood website goes on to recognize the achievements of that famous advocate of nonviolence — the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. as if Dr. King somehow posthumously approves the violent killings of the more than 1500 babies that will be destroyed in a black woman’s womb every day, a significant portion of which, are performed in Planned Parenthood’s abortion clinics. The Planned Parenthood website also states that, “Planned Parenthood is committed to providing the highest level of care to people of all cultures and backgrounds.” This is indeed very generous of Planned Parenthood to lend a helping hand to one of Margaret Sanger’s favorite ethnic groups, as exemplified by Margaret Sanger’s famous “Negro Project”. African-American and Pro-life leaders gathered in Washington DC on April 24, 2008 to protest Planned Parenthood’s policies and practices and federal funding of the organization. The event was organized by Students for Life of America.

This week marked the 37th annual march for life. Tens of thousands of pro-life Americans came to the nations capitol to take a stand for the unborn. There was a recurring theme among the signs and speeches stop the attack on the unborn and end government funding of those like Planned Parenthood who are leading the attack. Planned Parenthood has been appealing for more government funding saying the poor economy increases the demand for their services. Earlier this week as I stood outside their massive new abortion clinic in Houston, Texas, I had a hard time envisioning an impoverished Planned Parenthood. Second only in size to their clinic in China, the six-story facility looks more like a huge cash register than a medical clinic, this is appropriate since they rake in over 350 million dollars of taxpayer money each year. With a budget of just over one billion dollars, Planned Parenthood has become very adept at raising money, not just from the government but from the public as well. As rescue workers continue to care for the survivors of the Haiti earthquake — Planned Parenthoods international arm is busy raising money to create more victims. At the same time Americans were donating over 300 million dollars to rescue and aid children and their families in Haiti, the International Planned Parenthood Federation launched a fund-raising appeal seeking funds for their family planning clinics.
